Atma is never born nor it everdies that is to say.Atma is unborn Etrnal constant Ancient it is not killed but it is the body which is slain . To be born,to exist ,to grow ,to decay to perish -this six kinds of modifications belongs to the body reducing itself into primary elements of which it was composed of .Vide Ref Gita chap.2nd stanza 28
